A high-street refurbishment might combine a facade access scaffold with a pedestrian gantry so the shop stays open beneath the works; a cladding remediation needs full-height access with loading bays; a flat-roof replacement needs edge protection and a materials hoist zone. Designs, loadings and method statements

Anything beyond a standard TG20:21 configuration is put through a bespoke design with calculations, so the scaffold is proven for the loads it will actually carry — brick guards and stacked materials, a hoist, or the wind load on a sheeted elevation. We issue the design drawing, the loading class and the tie schedule up front.

For commercial work we provide the documents a principal contractor expects: a specific risk assessment and method statement (RAMS) for the erect, alter and dismantle, the design or TG20 compliance sheet, handover certificates and the seven-day inspection record for the duration. That keeps your CDM file complete and your site audit-ready.

Accreditation and compliance

We work to the NASC TG20:21 and SG4 guidance for scaffolding and working at height, and our teams are CISRS-qualified. Where a client's PQQ requires health-and-safety and contractor accreditation, we can align with SMAS, CHAS and similar schemes.

Membership and scheme numbers are confirmed directly with our office for each tender rather than published as marketing claims — ask when you enquire and we will provide current documentation for your prequalification pack.

Working around occupiers and the public

Most London commercial sites are not empty. Shops trade, offices stay staffed and residents come and go, often on a busy footway or a red route. That shapes the scaffold: gantries to keep entrances clear, night or early-morning erection where the highway authority requires it, brick guards and debris netting over public areas, and clear signage and lighting on any structure over a pavement.

Where the scaffold stands on the highway we arrange the licence, any parking-bay suspension and the traffic-management conditions with the relevant London borough, and build the programme around their permitted hours.

Pricing and programme

Commercial scaffolding is priced on the designed quantity, the loading class, the access and gantry requirements and the hire period, plus any licences and out-of-hours working. We give a fixed price against your drawings or a site survey, with the erect, weekly hire and dismantle set out clearly so it drops straight into your cost plan.
